Description

I am pleased to offer for sale this example of a men’s 1903 “Omega Factory” timepiece with DIAL with the VISIBLE SKELETONIZED MOVEMENT, ORIGINAL CHROMED STEEL CASE and CLEAN HIGH GRADE original pocket watch MECHANISM with SKELETONIZED BOTTOM PLATE and CHATON of REGULATION SCREWS in RED GOLD, BI-METALLIC MICROMETER REGULATOR & BLUE BREGUET BALANCE SPRING signed by OMEGA, made in Switzerland.

This gorgeous, men’s watch is a very handsome specimen and has dial with the VIZIBLE SKELETONIZED MOVEMENT. It is features an inner track border with raised & applied steel hour markers, BLUE STONES for hour markers, steel skeleton hands with luminous fill and a recessed sub-seconds “sweep” steel hand. The new dial has been professionally updated, and now is in excellent condition. There is gold steel raised & applied OMEGA at the center of the dial.

This model features an ORIGINAL four piece, double-hinged gun metal case that provides for a useful dust cover over the movement. The case was made especially for OMEGA. Turning the watch over I note that the back lid is nice and clean. This watch was converted from pocket watch. The lugs are in great condition while the winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly. The inside of the outer case lid is stamped OMEGA with trademark Omega symbol and is signed case referent number #3,380,172. This case reference number repeat inside on the inner case lid.

Lifting this lid reveals an inner dust cover lid, also chrome steel. This was used to protect the mechanism from dust and debris and to provide an extra layer of protection from shock or moisture.

Inside is a clean manual wind and higher-grade god-plated lever escapement movement with CHATON of REGULATION SCREWS in RED GOLD, BI-METALLIC MICROMETER REGULATOR & BLUE BREGUET BALANCE SPRING. The movement is signed OMEGA.

THE BOTTOM PLATE (the dial side) of the movement has been in addition updated and engraved by the craftsman. Each part of the mechanism, each millimeter it is decorated by a magnificent magic ornament. Also is stamped OMEGA with trademark Omega symbol and signed the movement serial number #2,754,791 and +8760 (dial side). This serial number dates this watch to 1903 as per published production numbers.

This beautiful wristwatch has the Original magic GOLD-FILLED movement in an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch and has been in addition updated and engraved by the craftsman. Each part of the mechanism, each millimeter it is decorated by a magnificent magic ornament.

It is fitted on a new 22mm black high quality genuine leather strap with fold-over ends and matching chromed steel buckle, ready to be worn and enjoyed or made the new “prize” of your wristwatch collection.

Diameter (with crown): 55.00 mm

Diameter (without crown): 51.00 mm

Watch crystal diameter: 43.00 mm

Thickness: 17.50 mm

This rare watch winds and set smoothly while keeping very good, accurate time.

Because of the vintage nature of the watch I cannot guarantee its absolute time keeping accuracy even if they are in good running condition and in some rare occasions may require additional adjustment.
