Vintage Men's Wristwatch Handmade Painted in Nature Style, Original Swiss Movement 1890's Violet Stones

If you have been collecting watches for a while I think you’re going to appreciate this CUSTOMIZED WATCH model that features an ORIGINAL porcelain DIAL painted by the artist handcrafted in NATURE UNIQUE STYLE, CHROMED brass CASE with VIOLET STONES and an original pocket watch mechanism with BLUE STEEL SCREWS, THREE FINGER BRIDGE, RAISED & SCREWED THREEFOLD in GOLD CENTER JEWEL CHATON, BI-METALLIC MICROMETER REGULATOR & BLUE BREGUET BALANCE SPRING. It was made by the WANDOLEC ART STUDIO based on Emile Quartier in Switzerland. 

Genius – a trademark for Emile Quartier-la-Tente further Emile Quartier & Fils both from Les Brenets, Le Locle and Neuchâtel, Switzerland and listed from 1824-1884 to perhaps 1966. 

This rare timepiece features an elegant, sunken ORIGINAL porcelain dial is in flawless condition and painted by the artist handcrafted of THE WANDOLEC ART STUDIO specially for this excellent watch. This dial features a 60-minute outer track border, black main Roman numerals, steel Breguet-style hands and a recessed sunken sub-seconds dial with 60 second outer chapter and “sweep” steel seconds hand. There is handmade painted in the NATURE UNIQE STYLE picture the BIRD with FLOWERS at the center of the dial. 

It is a registered design model that features a three piece CHROMED brass CASE that provides with glass cover of back covering. This watch was converted from pocket watch. The CHROMED case, new custom made, fantastic, build specially for this excellent Emile Quartier movement. The lugs are in great condition while the winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly. The case has MINERAL glasses on the front and back side. There is decorated with LILAC CRYSTALS on the lateral bezel. 

Peeking inside via the glass lid I find a spotless and high grade, manual wind gold plated lever escapement movement with BLUE STEEL SCREWS, THREE FINGER BRIDGE, RAISED & SCREWED THREEFOLD in GOLD CENTER JEWEL CHATON, BI-METALLIC MICROMETER REGULATOR & BLUE BREGUET BALANCE SPRING.

To enhance the power coming through the train, the center wheel is provided with a chaton jewel, which is mounted in rosé gold and is screwed threefold. Only jeweled holes minimize reliably the friction due to enormous driving power of the mainspring and consequently the going barrel. The screwed chaton allows the precise adjustment of the wheel and the quick change of the bearing jewel if necessary. The further wheel arbors are protected by jewels.

The movement is stamped Genius (possibly with head in a circle) below the balance wheel. Also is signed the movement serial number #785 under the dial. 

This beautiful wristwatch has the ORIGINAL movement in an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch, but may contain replacement parts that are not from the original manufacturer if the original manufacturer no longer makes that part. Mechanism has been recently serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping great, accurate time. 

This is a “NAIL SET” watch so you don’t pull the crown out to set the time. Instead, you press the little button near the crown IN and then move the crown to set the hands, releasing the button once you’re finished. It’s easy, so don’t worry about getting the hang of it! 

It is fitted on a new 22mm grey alligator style genuine leather strap with chrome steel buckle that is vintage style and goes great with this wonderful watch.

This cleaned, oiled and regulated antique watch winds and sets very smoothly while keeping very good, accurate time.

Because of the vintage nature of the watch I cannot guarantee its absolute time keeping accuracy even if they are in good running condition and in some rare occasions may require additional adjustment.
